7 Tricks to Treating Your Body

7 tricks to treating your body as you heal with herbal remedies! Herbal remedies are our ancestors original medicine and have effectively helped us in our healing. But herbs cannot do it alone. We must work alongside herbs to help the body cleanse itself of dis-ease.

1) Gallon of Spring Water

Yes, that's right. A gallon of Spring water a day! When using herbs it's even more important to ensure you are getting plenty of water. Water maintains the balance of body fluids. The functions of these bodily fluids include; digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature. It also support normal bowel movements and kidney function. At minimum, you want to drink half you water in ounces. For example, if you weight 150 lbs., you'd at least consume 75 oz a day.

2) 1-Hour of Sunlight

Make the sun a priority. Get at least 1-hour of sunlight a day. This'll help you get better sleep, improve your mood, strengthen your immune system, and reduce stress. Find ways to work this into your schedule. Maybe you walk outside for 30 minutes, twice a day. Or walk to the grocery store in your neighborhood instead of taking the 5 minute drive.

3) Practice Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is an overlooked and underappreciated form of natural healing. It is the use of aromatic plants to promote health and well-being. It's beneficial on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. You can incorporate this by smudging, burning incenses or candles, using essential oils. etc.

4) Heal Through Movement

Stay active! This doesn't have to mean you are in the gym 5 days a week. Take baby steps, but just get up and move. Initially, building a consistency may be more important. Exercise can reduce anxiety, support trauma recover, and reconnect us to childhood play.

5) Feel & Speak Healing Intentions

There is power in what you believe to be true. You can create your own universe in your mind. Feel and speak life into yourself. Silence those who speak ill(ness) to or on you. Practice affirmations before bed and after rising.

6) Transition to an African-Biomineral Diet

When you are in the process of healing, removing the foods that made you sick will set you up for success. Switching to a diet that is more consistent to your predisposition will minimize the risk of dis-ease and be helpful in your healing from dis-ease.

7) Practice Fasting

Eliminating food and giving your body a chance to heal and recover is an ancient form of healing that many of us have long forgotten. Physically it can improve digestion, lower blood sugar, blood pressure, regenerate cells, and much more. It also supports mental healing and spiritual awakening.

This is what I love about holistic health. The approach to healing involves looking at the person as a whole. Integrative medicine involves finding the root cause of health concerns. Conventional medicine wants to address the symptoms while the root cause is still getting worse, which leaves the person living sick until death. Start living in healing to better connect with your body and your spirit!
