    Nettle (Urtica dioica, stinging nettle, common nettle)

     

    ACTIONS: Analgesic, Antiproliferative, Anti-Inflammatory, Anti-Infectious, Antioxidant, Antiulcer.* 

     

    MEDICINAL USES: Nettle leaf is known to help with Anemia, Diabetes, Arthritis, and Enlarged Spleen. It's also used as a remedy respiratory issues like; allergies, Hay fever, Asthma, and Bronchitis. It may support menstrual health by reducing excess menstrual flow. Nettle root can support reproductive health for women and men (menstrual issues and prostate health). Both Nettle leaf and root are great for athletes since they may also reduce muscle and joint pain. They are also a good source of iron and calcium.*

     

    PREPARATION & DOSAGE: To make infusion (drinking tea), pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of dried herb and infuse for 10-15 minutes, 2-3 times a day.

    To make decoction, put 1 teaspoon of root into a cup of water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, 2-3 times a day.
