Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa, Roselle)

MEDICINAL USES: Hibiscus flower is traditionally used to support cardiovascular health and healthy blood pressure levels.* Rich in naturally occurring plant compounds, including anthocyanins and other polyphenols, hibiscus provides antioxidant support and may help protect the body from oxidative stress.*

PREPARATION & DOSAGE: To make an infusion (drinking tea), pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of dried hibiscus flowers. Cover and steep for 5-10 minutes, then strain.

For a stronger tea, steep for 10-15 minutes. Enjoy 1-3 cups daily, hot or iced.

Hibiscus has a naturally tart flavor. Sweeten as desired or pair with herbs and fruits such as ginger, rosehips, cinnamon, or berries.
